I was sitting at the pool this past summer and noticed some ladies with the most fabulous swimsuits. Needless to say when they got up to go to lunch in the hotel I was horrified to see what they put on over it. Ladies, a fantastic coverup is just as important as that fantastic swimsuit.

Lets start off with the simplest coverup, the sarong. They come in various lengths, there are short sarongs that cover just your bottom or the longer sarong that  can be tied in so many ways that are fun and exciting. Even
the simplest sarong can be made into 2 or 3 types of dress, worn as a jacket, or just wrapped around the waist to cover the legs, remember, it doesn�t have to match the suit exactly. If it�s a printed suit, take the least color of the suit and the most color in the sarong and the colors will stand out. If you have a solid suit, try a fantastic colorful sarong with that suit color in it. The matching sarong gives the ensemble a more classic style.

Moving on to sun dresses, whether it be a bandeau, sleeveless, Short Sleeve, ankle length or above the knee, the sundress cover up is not only stylish but can be very sexy and fun to wear. Bright colors and prints are always an option. A v-neck coverup is great for the bust line and cinching at the waist helps give the figure shape and definition to show off your curves. There are a variety of fabrics that the sundresses come in from cottons,
rayons, lightweight silks and actual swimwear material. The sundress should flow nicely with the suit and not cling to the body.

The tunic style is one of the more popular styles in the coverup 2011 collections. What the ladies like about this style is that it could be worn as a “dual coverup.” What this means is that it could be worn to go to the beach or pool, or you can put a camisole or lacey tank underneath and it could be worn as a top with cute capris, shorts or leggings to go out for lunch or dinner. Usually the tunics are long sleeve with embroidery and sometimes beading.  The dual coverup has been the rage beacuase of its diversity. Tunics are styled over the head or open front with ties to close.

Now, what do we do about the active surfer girl or the sailor,or just that sporty lady that wants coverage?  Canyon Beachwear offers an extensive collection of board shorts, and rash guards for that particular customer.
Actually, a board short should be part of your swimwear wardrobe at all times. There are different lengths of board shorts from mid thigh to above the knee. Rash guards are short or long sleeved. They come in two lengths, either an 8 inch inseam or an 11 inch inseam. The fabric is a micro
suede lycra that is imported from Italy and the shorts are then made in the United States. This lycra dries extremely quickly and there is zipper pocket to store your small items, they make a great combo when paired with a tankini or bikini top or a rashguard.

Other board shorts are made to go over a swimwear bottom and do not have an inner lining, they also dry quickly and provide fabulous fit and coverage. Teamed up with a tankini or bikini top and you are already for the beach, the water park, or a day on the boat.

Ladies, remember when choosing your swimwear please make sure you choose the right coverup also. Don’t be that lady that wraps a towel around her and walks around the beach, pool or hotel.
