Full color lanyards are a great way to make your custom lanyards impressive. Simply creating a lanyard with the name of your company and the contact information may not be enough. If you truly want to make an impact with your giveaway consider adding a photograph into your design. Many individuals do not realize just how effective having a picture can be.

If you are thinking about using any kind of image you have to make certain that the company where you are planning to purchase your lanyards offers full color. Full color is a special kind of dying method. This process is also known as sublimation.

In this dying method a powdered dye becomes a gas without becoming a liquid. This is done by exposing the dye to high temperatures of heat extremely quickly. Why is this advantageous? The more traditional method of silk screening does a great job with simple logos and a limited number of colors. However, in most cases it cannot do justice to a photograph.

Silk screening often has sharp color breaks. The dyes do not blend. This effect is frequently referred to as pixilation. Many of the older printers would create this same effect. Dye sublimation does not have this effect. When his method is employed you get a nice smooth image. There is a continuous tonal quality.

The other major advantage to this technique is the fact that the dye becomes a gas. The gas is able to penetrate the cloth much deeper and smoother than liquid. Liquids may run. Dye sublimation frequently lasts longer than a silk screen. There is less fading due to sun exposure and it can stand up to being washed and dried hundreds of times.

Another great thing about the dye sublimation technique is that it can be used on almost any kind of material. You can choose any one of the various fabric offered and know that your image will turn out perfectly. If you want you could select the finest satin or perhaps nylon or polyester.

You will of course be able to choose which attachment you want to have on your lanyard. You can pick one of the more common clasps i.e. the key ring or the ID bull-clip. However, you can also choose one of the more specialized attachments. You might want to think about the option that will permit users to hold a pair of glasses or the “O” ring which enables a person to carry a plastic bottle.

Customizing a lanyard is all about making it personal. Use a picture of your building or of your office. If you are the sole proprietor, you might want to use your own picture. If you are offering a service you should think about using an image of what you do. An alternative is to have one of your products on the ribbon. A really impressive lanyard might combine a variety of pictures.
